I got to test out the AENO DBS2 Smart Sonic Toothbrush which comes in a sleek black colour. The brush is lightweight and thin, like many other electric toothbrushes on the market. I liked the black colour, a nice change from the white that many dental tools come in. On the front of the toothbrush is the on button, a range of cleaning modes and the AENO logo. The entire thing is very subtly designed to look great in your bathroom, as well as provide a great deep clean. The toothbrush comes with 3 brush heads, perfect for having backups or for the whole family to try out the toothbrush. Also included in the box is the wireless charging base and a charging cable.

So what is the toothbrush like to use? The toothbrush, like many on the market, cleans your teeth using a range of pulses to help remove plaque and residue on your teeth. However, what makes the AENO Smart Sonic Toothbrush special is that alongside your toothbrush the AENO app allows you to get a much more in-depth understanding of your clean by providing you with real-time feedback. The app also gives you access to 8 additional modes alongside the soft, clean, massage and white which come as standard on the toothbrush. The app is designed to help you hold yourself accountable and provide a greater cleaning experience with the overall goal of helping you maintain a pristine smile.

The app is a great addition to the electric toothbrush market to allow you to really understand your cleaning, and to also make your toothbrush work for you. From within the app, you can choose a range of other cleaning modes including gum care, express cleaning, deep cleaning, braces, and deep whitening. This allows you to really tailor each clean to you – and allow your family to alter and change their modes depending on their needs too.

After using the toothbrush I was impressed with the clean feeling after just one brush! Over 1 minute the AENO Smart Sonic Toothbrush delivers 46,000 vibrations to your teeth which helps to oxygenate the fine foam from your toothpaste to help it reach the most inaccessible areas of your mouth. This helps to make the most of your toothpaste and ensure that all those little interdental places remain clean and plaque-free.
