I was always told when I was younger to drink loads of water, and even as an adult, hydration is key to good health. I find the trick to staying hydrated is getting your hands on a sturdy and reliable bottle. When I tested out some ION8 Leak Proof water bottles, I found it did the trick for getting my three litres a day.

We tested out the ION8 1200ml leakproof bottle in striking Alaskan Blue, as well as two children’s bottles, one unicorn rainbow 600ml bottle, and a Space themed 350ml. Evidently, ION8 offers a range of sizes for adults, children and toddlers. This is great for encouraging younger children to drink more water, as a 1200ml seems quite daunting, yet water in small doses is much more manageable for a child.

The first thing that struck me when I was choosing the bottles was the fact that ION8 has a massive range of colours and designs, from whales and llamas to utilitarian steel. On some of the more intricate designs they have really cute prints. Additionally, on some of the children’s bottles, the design is slightly raised and is therefore great for helping children hold it sensibly without spilling. Even on the adult bottle, the powder paint finish means that the bottle has an effective grip.

The one touch lid is where the ION8 bottles really shine. The one touch  lids are perfect for anti-leakage, due to the two-step lock on the front. Firstly, you move down the click over the lock. You then slide the button down to unlock the lid. This lets you press the button so the lid pops open. The same mechanism is also used on the children’s bottles. This is a perfect and simple mechanism to stop the lid from popping open and spilling everywhere. Furthermore, on the off chance that the lid gets damaged, you can purchase replacement lids online for a fraction of the price of the original bottle.

Around the lid is a textured pattern. Again, this means that you grip effectively to unscrew the lid, this is one of many small features that greatly elevate a simple water bottle. Other features include a ring to the back of the lid, making it easier to carry. It also means that the bottle can be attached to clips on bags etc. going towards easy transportation.

Overall, I would definitely recommend the ION8 water bottles if you are looking for motivation to stay hydrated and don’t want any pesky spillages!
