I was so excited when the slow cooker arrived as it boasts to do so much all in a single pot. Immediately upon opening, the pot looked great and sat neatly inside the base. The base and pot are a sea salt grey colour, which just so happens to look perfect in my kitchen which is a very similar colour! According to the box, it can slow cook (for up to 12 hours), sear or sauté, steam, braise, simmer, bake, prove and keep warm – a big feat!

Over the course of a few weeks, I truly put the Ninja Foodi Possible 8-in-1 Slow Cooker to the test and tried out many of its functions. I started off making a hot pot and cooked off the vegetables and meat using the sauté function and then turned it to the slow cooking setting once I’d added everything else. Then I left it for a few hours of slow cooking to perfectly marry all the flavours together. I was impressed by how quickly the pot heated up because in just a few minutes it was ready to start cooking. This is due to the slow cooker being made with Triple Fusion Heat technology which combines side, base, and steam heating for fast but also even cooking. This technology was vital throughout the slow cooking process as it ensured that one side didn’t stick or disproportionally cook compared to the other. However, the non-stick coating of the pot also works well to make cooking as easy as possible!

Consequently, the Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker 8-in-1 Slow Cooker is 5X more powerful than conventional slow cookers making it a perfect choice when you want to save on large amounts of electricity associated with using other slow cookers or even turning the oven on. The family aspect of the slow cooker is reinforced by its 8-litre capacity, perfect for giving you 8 portions of food per pot. This is great for daily family meals, for use at larger events such as family festive gatherings, or even for meal prep if you prefer to make larger batches of food to enjoy across the week. Personally, this was great for my family of 4, as I was able to make a large hot pot with ease which left us with plenty of leftovers for lunch the days after.  

Over the weeks, I tried out the steam option for some dumplings, simmered some soup and even made a great syrup sponge using the bake function. The versatility of the pot is truly remarkable and allows you to make a whole range of dishes, snacks and treats with just one piece of equipment – effectively reducing the need for a separate pot, pan, cast iron skillet, hob, slow cooker, casserole dish, roasting tray, bread maker and food warmer. Instead, the Ninja Slow Cooker makes this possible all in one single appliance. The fact you can seamlessly take the pot from counter to oven and then to the table making it a prep, cook and serving dish shows just how easy the 8-in-1 slow cooker pot makes meal times.
