Twelve South Forte

Any keen Apple user will be aware of Twelve South, who have been creating imaginative accessories for Apple products since 2009. Such innovations can also be seen in Twelve South’s latest release of the Forte. Translated to English, the word ‘forte’ means strength or talent. This may seem like an over-exaggeration for the name of a phone stand, and yet this thought would be in vain. The Twelve South Fote incorporates the newest innovations in iPhone charging, with the accessibility of a phone stand.

Apple’s latest release of the MagSafe accessory for iPhone 12’s and beyond has taken the world by storm. It effectively is a new quick and safe form of wireless charging that saves you from having to fiddle with loads of plugs and cables. It is therefore no wonder that Twelve South has taken the initiative to further advance the already successful product. Indeed, the Forte uses the gadget to create a floating iPhone stand that uses the MagSafe (not included with the Forte) to charge your phone at an efficient 15 Watts.

The Forte works by using magnetic support seen in the MagSafe, in order to efficiently hold your phone in place. The standing aspect of the product I found to be really good, as you can tilt the phone at a 75-degree angle, creating even more benefits when looking at your phone. Similar to what I usually find with Twelve South products, the Twelve South is really good for scrolling through my phone in bed. By placing it on the stand next to me, I could easily scroll without having to hold it, and I can adjust the angle depending on how I am sitting. However, the real advantage arrives when my phone is automatically on charge as I fall asleep. This is greatly beneficial as I often wake up with my phone on an annoyingly low battery. However, the use of the Forte means that it will always be on charge, and I can grab it and go in the morning. Perfect!

Pros:

- Sleek design

- Movement of 75 degrees

- Fast charging

- Creative thinking

- Always ensures your phone is on charge.
