Designed to produce a familiar feel for baby they are made from a silky smooth and flexible silicone, forming a smooth surface and natural shape. The shape of the outer area of the nipple shield has been created in a way to allow the baby to still have contact with your skin, and lets baby feel and smell you giving them comfort whilst they stimulate your milk supply. If you choose to express milk it is important to make sure you have the right container for storing, the Milk Storage Solution kit from MAM consists of five leak proof containers allowing you to transport them without the risk of the lid popping open and filling the inside of your handbag full of boob juice. These storage pots can be stored in the fridge or freezer and they are also microwave safe and can be used with a bottle warmer, the pots can be sterilised and have a washable labelling area that can be used for marking the time/date with a pencil. When not in use the pots can be stacked to save space for the extra crap things that will fill your house when a baby arrives and when your baby moves on from milk they can be used to store food. If you think the milk stays in your boob until baby is ready to feed, think again, especially in those early weeks it is not uncommon for breasts to leak even when baby is not around, anything from a baby crying on tv to looking at a photo of your baby on a phone can be enough to spring a leak. The easy answer is to use breast pads, the MAM Breast pads have been designed to stay dry for longer and are made ultra-thin to remain invisible through clothing.
