The Oblumi Tapp is a digital infrared thermometer with a range of capabilities that works alongside the Oblumi Tapp App. This small thermometer works with your smartphone by connecting through your headphone jack. Using the Tapp only takes a few seconds - you can choose between placing the thermometer on the forehead or removing the silicone cap and placing it just inside the ear, and it comes with a protective hard case and a couple of anti-bacterial wipes to get you started.
The infrared sensor is specially designed for medical use and provided accurate results throughout our tests. The temperature is displayed on your smartphone screen, and the app can then automatically calculate the correct dosage for the patient (using weight and age) and uses the most popular medication. The app will also display the profile’s temperature results history and medication taken, which is great for sharing information with family, babysitters or medical professionals, and is especially useful if you have more than one poorly family member. You can create as many patient profiles as you need and can share them with any users. The information will be automatically updated to all those who share the profile, and the app can also be set up to send automatic temperature or medication notifications to all contacts that you share the information with.
The Oblumi App allows you to set alarms to remind you to retake the temperature or give medication, is compatible with the Apple and Android iOS systems, and you can also access detailed information from any personal computer or tablet. The Oblumi Cloud also synchronises the data between all devices.
Of course, you don’t just have to use the Tapp on people – it can also be used to check the temperature of liquids like a baby’s bottle or bath water. We were really impressed with Oblumi Tapp - it provides accurate results, the app is user friendly and it offers lots of useful functions to help take care of you and your family. RRP £49.95
