The Rocker Napper by Tiny Love is a versatile seat suitable for babies up to 40lb/18kg. It offers three recline options, making it suitable for naps, feeding, soothing or playing, and can easily be moved between positions with one hand without needing to take your baby out. In all three reclining positions, you can choose between stabilising the Rocker, letting your baby’s movements create a rocking motion, or turning on the soothing vibrations to calm and relax your child.
These three positions also make the Rocker suitable for infants of different ages. At 1-3 months, your baby can enjoy the gentle rocking movement of the Rocker Napper while playing with the attached mobile’s rattling snail or flower-mirror. For 3-6 month olds, you can move this electronic mobile to an appropriate distance from your baby's reach so that they can grasp or hit the toys from a semi-upright position, and for 0-6 month olds babies who suffers from reflux, the middle reclining position may help their digestion.
The Rocker’s mobile is musical, with seven different melodies to amuse your baby, and the toys also carry baby-activated lights to stimulate their senses whilst simultaneously encouraging them to practice their grasping skills.
The Rocker’s instruction booklet is a bit difficult to understand, but there is a rather cringe-worthy instruction video on their website to help you with its assembly. It takes a few minutes, but it isn’t difficult.
The Rocker comes with a flat sleeping pad, which features a raised border that provides a safe and cosy environment to put your baby down for a nap. Both sleeping pad and bassinet are machine washable, but it is a bit of a hassle disconnecting and removing the Rocker frame to be able to wash the bassinet material. A spare set would be useful so you can still use the Rocker whilst the other set is in the wash, as messy accidents are unavoidable.
The Tiny Love Rocker Napper has some cool features, but for the money I would have expected a higher quality finish and a more parent-friendly assembly and disassembly for cleaning. The vibrating features seemed to do little to soothe our test subjects, but the variety of positions are useful and the colourful toys and music proved to be a hit.
It is worth considering the 3-in-1 Rocker Napper when looking at rockers, but the negatives must be considered before you can make a decision as to whether this will suit you and your baby’s individual needs. RRP £99.99
