Twelve South are a company that primarily design accessories for Apple products. Whilst they’re best known for creating the BookBook, a stylish case for iPhones and MacBooks giving the device the appearance of a book, they have recently come out with the AirFly, a handy adapter for connecting Bluetooth headphones to non-Bluetooth devices.

First of all, to get yourself an AirFly, it’s going to cost you around 40 GBP. And when you take into consideration that very similar adapters are already available for purchase, some at as little as 14 GBP, it’s clear the AirFly is somewhat expensive. On the good side of things, this Twelve South gadget has a clean, good-looking design, which is evidently one of the company’s strengths, however I do not think it justifies the price.

Moving on to functionality, after a few minutes of reading instructions and understanding the product, it works great. It is a fairly simple and practical way of using your AirPods or wireless headphones for devices that do not have Bluetooth, allowing you to listen through your headphones on planes, older desktops, fitness centres and anywhere else with a headphone jack that requires wired headphones.
