Sodas are great: they are a staple at any children’s party, they make amazing cocktails and are super refreshing in the summer time. The downside, however (there is always a downside), is they are often full of sugar, which just isn’t good for us no matter how much we love it and the endless amounts of plastic bottles that will have David Attenborough personally coming to your house to punch you in the face.
Thankfully, you can now have your cake and eat it (or drink it) too with the Sodastream Spirit One Touch. This lets you make delicious soda drinks at home, keeping things healthier and more environmentally friendly. It comes with a reusable 1 Litre capacity carbonating bottle, which will keep in the fizz for up to 2 weeks. It’s a good size for setting on the table during dinner, storing in the fridge, for sharing, or simply keeping it in the fridge to pour from all day long. The bottle is also BPA-free, however, unfortunately, it is hand wash only - not that I have a dish washer anyway, but that’s beside the point - and it can only be reused until the expiration date printed on the bottle.
The Spirit One Touch is rather tall but nice and slim, so it won’t take up too much space on your counter. It looks sleek and elegant, but most importantly transforms boring old tap water into wine…no wait…into sparking water! There are three levels of carbonation available at a touch of a button, it really couldn’t be easier! It is powered off the mains, so this may limit where you can place it, but with an endless range of flavours available online, we think it is worth it. RRP £109.99
