The worst thing for me about camping is struggling to sleep with uncomfortable beds.  I have tried many different types of foam beds and air beds, all of which are a poor substitute to a real bed.

The Thermarest NeoAir UberLite Sleeping Mat is designed for comfort and to be the lightest insulated air mattress available at just .25 kg.  For hikers this is perfect as the UberLite keeps your pack weight to a minimum. But weight isn’t the only proprietary here as it needs to ensure a good nights sleep and it does.  It is very comfortable and cleverly made to give insulation from the cold ground.  It is well made, strong and durable so I had no worries that it would pop at the mere sight of a stone.  It does however come with a repair kit.

  • Light weight: Weighing around half a pound, the UberLite is the lightest insulated air mattress you can buy.
  • Minimal Pack Size: Shrinks down very small
  • Backcountry Warmth: An R-value of 2.0 provides more insulation than any other sub 10-ounce mattress.
  • Big on Comfort: 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) of stable cushion provide luxurious comfort
  • Reliable NeoAir® Construction: Compresses small enough to fit into your pocket with the included stuff sack.
