Although most of our documents these days come in a digital format many of us still receive or possess sensitive documents that are best shredded for security reasons, the Powershred 60Cs Cross-Cut Shredder from Fellows is a compact personal shedder ideal for tucking away in the corner or cupboard for the occasional shredding session. This shredder features the advanced SafeSense Technology, this utilises an electronic safety sensor with automatically stops the shredders from shredding when hands touch the paper opening which is an excellent addition in preventing a Saw-like horror movie admin situation. Measuring up at just 16.1"H x 9.2"W x 14.6"D and weighing just 12.80lb it is easy to store away and move around from room to room, however a little nook or handle on the main body would make it easier to transport, especially if you have on hand full of paper work. If your phone, pet or dinner distracts you from your shredding duties the Sleep Mode will shut down after two minutes of inactivity saving you on your electricity bill. The 60Cs can shred 10 sheets per pass into 5/32" x 1-9/16" cross-cut particles giving you a security level P-4, it can also safely shred staples, paper clips and plastic credit cards and can shred for up to six minutes before a 20 minute cool down period is needed. The six-gallon bin has a lift-off head for easy emptying and sheds each piece of paper in to approximately 400 particles, it isn’t the quietest of machines, no loud than my ancient 10year personal shredder but its quick and doesn’t smell like melting plastic like my old shredder. With its protective features, compact size and cross section shredding the 60Cs is a great little shredder for light duties around the home, if you are anything like me you will be shredding everything you can get your hands on.
