You will wear a pair of shoes hundreds of times during their lives, so it seems only fitting that those shoes reflect you. The Bogs Johnny 5-Eeye Waterproof Boot looks like an old-style work boot, but has all of the modern benefits.
Back in bygone years, the work boot was an unyielding beast that needed years of dubbing to be applied before it would give enough to bend and be even a little bit comfortable. Comparatively, the leather of the Bogs boot is beautifully supple straight out of the box. I began to wear these at the beginning of autumn; my feet were soft from months of wearing flip flops and sandals through the summer, but they haven’t rubbed or chaffed my feet at all. These Bogs boots are so comfortable that they feel like your favorite slippers, and I just love the look of them. The specifications on these boots are also really high, with a waterproofed leather upper, moisture Max Wick lining, a rubber sole and chunky tread.
I believe you get what you pay for with shoes, and a dear old friend always used to say you that could tell the metal of the man by the shoe he wore. Even a battered high-quality shoe would win a game of trumps on a newer, cheaper model. At £125 RRP, these Johnny boots offer great value for money - if you strip down how many times you wear a good pair throughout their life, you pay only pennies per outing. These are my new favorite boots that I use for work, going out and even walking the dogs. They can be hosed down and look as good as new - fantastic shoes. RRP £125
