The i450T from Aqua Lung is absolutely cram packed with features designed to seamlessly fit in to all the different aspects of diving, available in Black/Blue, White and Black/Grey models it is marketed towards active and the travel divers. It uses intuitive features to allow you to easily navigate all the settings and information on the dive. The i450T allows for optional hoseless gas integration by using Aqua Lung’s patented Gas Time Remaining Algorithm to provide calculations in real time and allow for accurate gas management, this combines your devices and lets for focus on one screen.

The transmitter pairs for life, so after the initial process you will never have to pair it again, it is compatible with three different transmitters and gas mixes on a single dive and has four operating modes Air, Nitrox, Gauge, and Free Dive, the Free Dive mode lets you manage your depth, bottom and surface times and it has a dedicated free dive memory. It has an attractive and compact, sporty design with large fonts and back lighting (default 5 seconds but it is adjustable for longer) making it clear and easy to read, the large button takes a small amount of force to respond and there is audible alarms and an additional high-visibility LED warning light for safety. The i450T also has a digital compass which has a North facing reference, a return bearing lock, and declination adjustment.

Other features include multiple gas capability that can manage up to three Nitrox mixes (with three transmitters), each with individual PO2 set points, automatic altitude adjustment, advanced watch functions that include alternate time zone, stopwatch, lap timer, daily alarm, and countdown timer. The i450T has a durable PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) finish that is resistant to wear (available in Black/Grey), the Pre-Dive planning feature lets you preview planned dives to confirm no-decompression limits and it has an Automatic Safety Stop Countdown that is displayed in minutes and seconds for clarity. The battery is user changeable and you don’t have to worry about losing data, adjusting settings or re-pairing between changes. You can choose between salt or fresh water dive selection, there is optional deep stop with countdown timer, it comes with DiverLog software for Mac or PC, which allows control of all your dive computer settings, view Log and Profile data, add location, notes and other details, store and share photos and videos, this does come at an additional cost however. The Aqua Lung i450T is an excellent diving companion, it looks great, it surprisingly easy to navigate though the large amount of features, the battery life is good, the Gas Time Remaining Algorithm proved accurate - the only thing that may take a little bit of practise to get used to is the compass and once you have mastered that it is quite the force to be reckoned with.
