These premium salopettes are designed for big days out‚ made from breathable XP three-layer fabric with tough four-layer 320D reinforced wear panels. The XP three-layer is flexible, tough, highly waterproof and breathable, constructed from supplex nylon six woven face fabric with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment that prevents the fabric from becoming waterlogged. The pores in the DWR material are too small to allow water droplets to pass through, but large enough to allow water vapour to escape, helping to regulate body temperature. This layer provides a waterproof rating of 20,000 mm and a breathability rating of 4,000 g/m2/24hrs.

The upper body features a vent mesh back to keep things comfortable and cool, and there is a low-profile waterproof relief zipper for, you know, when nature calls. The Atom also features XP four-layer socks with Nylon 320D soles to give you extra protection where you need it, a fully adjustable Velcro neoprene waistband, an XP three-layer vest with elasticated adjustable braces and a reinforced seat and knees. The boots have adjustable Velcro tabs for a snug fit around the lower leg, and to combat any stones and debris, the MasterSeal zips come with a lubricant to keep things moving freely.

The salopettes’ elasticated waist helps them to fit more like a pair of trousers, making it harder for any splashed water to sneak in, and taking some of the weight off the shoulder straps. Saying that, the Atoms are lightweight, at 874g in the large size.

Some buckles would be handy on the braces just to make it easier to get in and out of the Salopettes, but other than that, these are high performing, comfortable salopettes which will keep you protected and dry no matter what you get up to. RRP £269.95
