Canyon products always deliver on functionality, whilst remaining super affordable – and the Canyon Silent Wire Keyboard is a perfect example of this. The keyboard is designed to minimise typing sounds, whilst delivering a functional and super easy-to-use keyboard that can support your typing needs throughout the day.

The Canyon Silent Wireless Keyboard is super lightweight and slimline, making it perfect for taking with you on the go, to turn any coffee shop or co-working space into a productive setting. I like that, unlike many portable keyboards, the Canyon Silent Wireless Keyboard is full-size, offering the full range of keys, and even a number pad, which is often lost when portability is focused on in a design.

The keys have been designed to be a lot quieter than a regular keyboard, designed for quiet offices or workspaces to ensure your typing isn’t a distraction. Each key feels nice to type on and has a satisfying, quiet click. However, I wouldn’t say the keys are completely silent, but instead offer a much quieter typing experience that shouldn’t be too distracting to anyone. 

One of the big benefits of the Canyon Silent Wireless Keyboard is that it does not have any wires, so you don’t have to worry about wires getting tangled or in the way when you’re working. Instead, a small wireless 2.4Ghz dongle is located at the back of the keyboard, which just needs to be plugged into your device or desktop unit to connect your keyboard. I like the freedom this gives because you can comfortably customise your setup without worrying about making sure your wires are plugged in correctly. The wireless connections were great and can provide a stable and uninterrupted connection even up to 10 metres away. Plus, the 2.4Ghz connection via the dongle means that the keyboard is compatible with both Windows and macOS

To facilitate this wireless connection, the keyboard comes with 2 fitted AAA batteries, which keep the keyboard powered up for hours. However, once these run out, they will need to be replaced. If the keyboard did come with a charging cable to save on having to replace those batteries, this could make the keyboard slightly better. However, the battery power works just fine - but maybe carry a few extra replacement batteries in case it runs out mid workflow, so you’re not left without a keyboard!

Overall, the Canyon Silent Wireless Keyboard HKB-W01 is a lovely keyboard that offers a great and fairly quiet typing experience. It's lightweight, super easy to use, and completely wireless to make typing both at home and on the go super functional. Plus, for only £19.99 you really can’t go wrong!
