Christow Potting Table with Wheels

One of my favourite activities in the summer is tending to my garden, and in particular, potting my favourite herbs and flowers ready to bloom throughout the summer and well into Autumn. When the sun is out, my garden patio is always littered with little pots filled with basil, mint and parsley, as well as various seedlings hoping to make it into my raised flower beds. Therefore, when I saw the Christow Potting Table I was super excited, not only will it make potting a more fun experience, but it is designed to be an all-in-one potting station to keep my garden tools and materials all together.

The Potting Table comes flat-packed and takes a little bit of assembly to put together. Thankfully the assembly wasn’t super difficult, and the box included clear instructions and all the fixings I needed to put it together alone. The assembly took me no more than 20 minutes, and I was left with a beautiful potting table in a lovely soft light wood that has been pressure treated to protect it from rot or damage. I was also glad to see that the wood is sustainably sourced by Christow to ensure that the table meets the highest environmental standards.

Across the potting table, there are three main levels, a top shelf level where you can put pots once you’ve planted seeds in them, and a main base table which features a removable tray. The tray is perfect for filling with compost, so you can scoop directly from the tray into a plant pot and stop excess compost from spilling everywhere. The final level is a slatted shelf that sits just off the floor above the wheels. This provides a great space for putting spare pots and compost bags when not needed. I often plant directly on the patio and then I’m left trying to clear up the excess compost that I’ve inevitably dropped all over the floor. However, with the potting table tray, you can remove it and pour any excess straight back into the bag making it a lot less messy. The innovative design also features a small drawer under the main tabletop which is perfect for putting labels, seeds, and various tools that might get blown away in the wind. For me, the overall design is super effective and has been well thought out by Christow to make potting plants easy, mess-free, and fun.  

However, what makes the potting table just that little bit more useful is that one side has 2 wooden wheels so you can manoeuvre the potting table around the garden. This is great as I used the top shelf for holding my various herbs, and I could move them into the sun during the day and then move them back onto my patio where they’re protected from the elements overnight. While the wheels are not made to scale harsh terrain, they held up pretty well in my small garden, although, I wouldn’t suggest that they be used to move the potting table over more harsh terrains or steps as this could harm the wheels and in the process.

Overall, I think the Christow potting table would make an excellent gift for the gardener in your life as it provides all the necessary levels and features to make potting super easy and to keep all potting essentials items together. With the summer months coming up, this makes the perfect addition to any garden and will set you or a loved one up with the tools to grow plants and flowers all year round.
