The EPOMAKER TH99 Mechanical Keyboard spans an 1800 layout that is 95% of a traditional keyboard, making it a little more compact keyboard than typical, but still including a full number pad and 8 separate function keys. The keys are supported by a sturdy gasket structure, which features 5 layers of soft materials including Poron Sandwich pads, IXPE Switch pads, as well as Poron and Silicone pads, which help to dampen the hollow sound of the keys to provide a satisfying thud with each keystroke. I really enjoyed the feel of the keyboard, as each key had a satisfying click without being too loud. The innovation of the multi-layer key design really highlights the premium nature of the keyboard which puts typing experience and functionality at the forefront of its design. Plus, whilst I found the keys were perfect for my needs straight from the box, you can also swap keys out thanks to their hotswappability to take your personalisation just that one step further and build a unique keyboard designed to meet your specific working or gaming needs. 

However, even with such a complex yet ergonomic design across the keys, the overall look of the keyboard remains super sleek. The one we tested out has a pale blue base, with large white, light blue and dark blue keys. All of the keys are supported by dynamic RGB backlighting, with 102 south-facing LEDs per key, providing an attractive and aesthetic appearance to the keyboard. I loved the look of the keyboard on my desk, as it’s a nice change from the typical black or grey keyboards that many brands do. Plus, with its tri-mode connectivity either via a type-c cable, Bluetooth 5.0 or a 2.4GHz wireless receiver, the keyboard fits seamlessly into my desk setup without the need for extra wires supported by its innovative 4000mAh battery. However, should you need to charge it, the wire is super long and easily slots into the keyboard, so you never miss out on being productive or playing a game due to an out-of-charge keyboard!
