The weather in the UK is very unpredictable, one minute it's raining and the next the sun is making a surprise appearance. Therefore, knowing what to wear can be a struggle. Body warmers or gilets are a great go-to option to keep your body warm, whilst still having your arms free and cool. However, even in a gilet you can get a bit chilly. This is where the GOKOZY Heated Gilet comes in to provide a lightweight layer that is fitted with a heating element so you can turn up or down the warmth depending on the weather.

The Heated Gilet we got to test out comes in a lovely soft black padded material, which has a subtle ‘GOKOZY’ logo and line pattern across the body of the gilet. The shell of the gilet is made from nylon with a water and wind-resistant coating to protect you should a sudden rain shower occur. The interior is filled with cotton down, offering a lovely, padded feel. The overall look and feel of the gilet is very stylish, and it offers a comfortable and lightweight layer that is perfect year-round.

However, should it get a bit chilly, the gilet is fitted with 15 heating zones, which offer three levels of heating to keep you warm. The heating zones are located in the left and right pockets (ideal for keeping your hands warm), the collar, upper back and lumbar area. These zones offer a great all-around heating, and can be adjusted through three heat settings of low, which gets up to 40°C, medium, which gets up to 50 °C, and high, which gets up to 60°C. You can control the settings via the small control panel on the front left chest panel. Once turned on, the light will show the gilet setting. However, so you aren’t walking around with lights on the front of your gilet, there's even a light-off button, which allows you to subtly heat the gilet without the lights telling everyone around you! The settings allow you to perfectly adjust the heat to your body’s temperature to keep you comfortable and cosy no matter the weather outside.

To power the gilet, the GOKOZY Heated Gilet comes with a 20000mAh battery, which is stored on the inside of the gilet in its own pocket. The battery pack just needs to be connected to the gilet via the built-in wire, and you’re ready to heat the gilet. The battery provides hours of warmth on a single charge, with 12 hours of warmth when on the lowest setting. However, when on the highest setting, the battery will still provide 5-6 hours of warmth. With hours of warmth from a single charge, the gilet is perfect as a way to keep you cosy throughout the day. The office I work in can get a bit chilly sometimes, and so having a gilet that can heat itself is perfect for taking the chill off to keep me cosy all year round.  When you’re ready to recharge the battery, it comes with an included USB-C for versatile charging. Plus, the battery pack even has a USB port so be used as a portable charger on the go too, so if you don’t need it to heat the gilet, it is also super handy for charging your phone in a pinch!
