When I tested it out on my friend’s restless 6-month-old, I found the Sleepytroll Baby Rocker to be highly practical and effective, which is something that is often lost behind the cutsie aesthetic of most other baby products. In my experience, babies only fall asleep if they’re snug in something that’s moving, whether it be a pram or a car. Therefore, the Sleepytroll Baby Rocker provides a simple answer to an age-old problem. It works by simply attaching the handy gadget to a pram and choosing what speed/motion you want the rocking to be at. After that, you can have a well-deserved rest! It sent my friend’s 6-month-old to sleep in minutes.

One of the first things that struck me is how versatile the Sleepytoll Baby Rocker is. Due to its adjustable strap, the gadget is multi-usage. This means that it can be attached to a pram, seat, crib, and soon to also be available for bouncers, via the use of additional adapters.  This is a versatility that is not seen in other Baby Rockers on the market, as they usually just attach to the pram, which is not useful if you are out and about, or you do not want to disturb their precious slumber. The Sleepytroll Baby Rocker’s versatility is helped by the fact that the device is small and compact, so it is easily portable and can be used out and about (when you most want to avoid the screaming fits).

Another fantastic feature is the use of a motion sensor, which detects if the baby is asleep or awake, and subsequently begins rocking again so that they remain in the land of nod. This is further helped by a sound sensor, that detects the early snuffles of crying before anything big erupts! The rocking strength of the rocker can also be adjusted manually, depending on the size of the pram and what you need it for. To this end, the Sleepytroll Baby Rocker is much more powerful and sensitive than many others on the market. The fact that it also comes with rechargeable batteries means that you won’t be worried about it constantly running out of juice. The only thing to be aware of is that the baby rocker only works for 40 minutes at a time, but it is so effective that this is more than enough time to get the job done, and you can leave them sleeping for hours!

I could not recommend the Sleepytroll Baby Rocker enough, as it is a lifesaver for any parents who want to get jobs done around the house or relax, without worrying about a sleeping child. Even though it is a bit more expensive than other rockers, it's definitely worth the extra pennies, due to the extra features like the motion sensor, rocking adjustability, and its versatility in attaching to all the important things, like prams, cribs and car seats!
