Thule Changing Backpack

One of the most valuable and helpful tools at a parent's disposal is a well-organised nappy bag. I personally like to pack for every occasion, so I’m never caught out when the kids suddenly need a new set of clothes or a toy to keep them distracted. Therefore, a nappy bag that can fit all of these things in, whilst staying organised is essential for any outing. This is where Thule’s Changing Backpack comes in, designed to provide a good-sized bag to hold everything you could need, whilst also having a changing mat included for added functionality.

On the outside, the Thule Changing Backpack looks rather sleek, in a dark grey colourway and only the subtle ‘Thule’ logo on the front. However, every aspect inside has been made with parents in mind. The main back pocket can be used to hold spare clothes, some toys, nappies and wipes, as well as some snacks for the day. In the back pocket, you can also find a super handy small drawstring bag and a foldable changing mat.

One of my favourite aspects of the Changing Backpack is located at the bottom of the bag, where a front pocket reveals a smaller grab bag that you can fill with all the essentials such as nappies, wipes and a change of clothes that you might need for a quick change. This means that you don’t need to take the entire bag with you when doing a quick change for your child. Instead, you can grab the mini bag and changing mat for a speedy nappy change.

Next to the main pocket of the bag is a smaller front pocket with useful clips to hold your keys, and it has spaces to put things such as your wallet or phone for easy yet secure carrying. For those small toys or snacks that may be needed quickly, the bag even has a front magnetised pocket where you can store things that you need to be readily avaliable. Then on each side of the bag, there are large water bottle holders, perfect for bringing a drink for both you and your child.

Overall, the entire design of the Thule Changing Backpack is super intuitive with each pocket ensuring you have all the essentials you need easily accessible and well-organised way. From the inside pockets to the easy grab bag, it really does make the world of difference when out and about to know you have everything you need. Plus, I like that it doesn’t look like a typical nappy bag, and instead looks quite sleek and stylish making it a great bag for wearing all day.

Pros:

  • Included wipeable changing mat, small carry-bag and soil bag for easy and quick nappy changes
  • Plenty of pockets to store all of your essentials in an easy-to-find way
  • Lightweight, comfortable and minimalist design for easy all-day wearing

Cons:

  • The bottom stow pocket for the quick change bag does take up a lot of room, which means the top main pocket is on the smaller side which may mean a more cramped fit if you have quite a few things to take with you on longer day trips with multiple kids
