The Exagrind provides you with top-notch coffee-grinding possibilities in such a compact and portable unit. Much like other products from Wacaco, the Exagrind is packaged in its usual minimal but stylish black boxes. Upon opening the box, I was surprised by how sleek it was and even how lightweight it was as a whole. The top part of the grinder is black with the Wacaco branding subtly on the edge, which sits on the stainless-steel body of the grinder with the stainless-steel handle at one side.

The Exagrind does exactly what it says, it is designed to grind your coffee beans into your desired grind size. The Exagrind features a precision-cut 38mm stainless steel burrs design which is perfect for getting a smooth motion and a premium grind quality. The grinder has a 60-microclick range, and a 33-micron adjustment between these clicks to allow you to really perfect your grind for your specific tastes.

I popped in some of my favourite coffee beans and began grinding. The Exagrind features a handle on the side that stays smoothly against the side of the grinder body. This makes hand grinding your coffee perfect, whilst also making the portability of the grinder excellent. The grinder hand lays almost flat to the grinder's side so it can easily be put into your bag without a large handle getting in the way. The handle has been designed to produce minimum friction for a smooth and easy grind experience. I was impressed by how easy it was to grind, as I only previously had experience with electric coffee grinders and I worried I wouldn’t be strong enough to grind it by hand – but the Exagrind makes this a super easy and smooth experience, made extra comfortable with the silicone sleeve which covers part of the body.
