The CR8-P1 Sport Wireless Earbuds have been specifically developed to enable you to listen to music whilst you work out without getting tangled up in wires. These earbuds come in an attractive hard case that doubles as a charger, with a 2200 mAh battery that gives you a total of a whopping 72 hours playtime. The charging case can also be used to top up the battery life of your smart devices, whilst its compact 65 x 30 mm size means you can easily fit it into your pocket, backpack or gym gear. The earbuds are ready to use as soon as you take them out of the case (no need to press fiddly buttons), and once they are paired, they will automatically connect to your smart device each time.
The earbuds come with three pairs of silicone tips: small, medium and large. The tips are flatter than what you might be used to, and this keeps the earbuds close to the ears, forming a discrete profile that sits in the ears securely. The CR8-P1’s use the latest Bluetooth V5 and CVC 6.0 noise cancelling technology for a clear connection and 33 feet stability, abd they have an IPX7 rating (dive up to 3.3ft of submersion within 30 minutes), which protects them from sweat whilst you work out or if you get caught in the rain - you can even take them in the shower. The Intelligent Voice Alerts tells you when you’ve paired successfully, whilst the multi-function key lets you shift/pause the songs and answer/refuse calls.
Unfortunately, there is no volume control. The sound quality is reasonable but lacks bass: the high tones dominate and can leave some songs sounding harsh, especially at higher volumes. My biggest issue which these earbuds is that I found them uncomfortable after about 30mins - I think this is due to the ear tips. If they came with the memory foam tips, that could improve things as long as it didn’t leave the earbuds sticking too far out of the ears. However, the CR8-P1s have excellent battery life, which means you can get past the sound quality, but the hard ear tips meant they were best suited for shorter workouts. RRP £78.05
