You would be hard pushed to find anything more deliciously comforting than a slice of freshly made bread, even the smell of it baking in your home is like one big aromatic hug, however the time and physical effort it takes to produce a decent loaf can be very off putting (those guys on bake off make it look easy). Thankfully the food gods answered our prayers by creating the bread maker. The Tower Gluten Free Digital Bread Maker comes with 17 programmable settings to different types of homemade bread including gluten free, a notoriously difficult loaf to master. Ditch the additives, excess salt and sugar and let this machine do all the hard graft in producing a more nutritious loaf than you will find in the supermarket aisle, and why stop there?
This machine will also make you jam to accompany your bread and yoghurt too, because who doesn’t like yoghurt? Constructed from steel housing with a matte finish, this machine also has a built-in nut dispenser that will add ingredients at just the right moment. One of the best features is the delay timer (up to 15hours) which means you can be greeted with warm bread as soon as you wake in the morning, there is a Keep Warm function which will keep the bread warm for up to 60minutes after it has finished baking. This machine features a user-friendly touch screen panel with an easy to read LCD display screen for selecting the programme, select the size (500g, 750g or 1000g) and your choice of crust (light, medium or dark crust), there is a viewing window, so you can watch your bread take shape and the 15 min power interruption back up system prevents issues caused by accidental switch off. The name is slightly misleading as it suggests it purely makes gluten free bread, it is basically a bread maker with one of its 17 functions being a gluten free option, the gluten free bread we made was ok, but still quite dense as so often this type of bread is, however, as a regular bread maker this is an excellent option. If you are looking for beautiful loaves you may be put off by the paddle dent in the bottom, making some of the middle slices uneven, and they don’t always come out completely symmetrical however we think this adds to the charm and it doesn’t affect the taste.
