RRP £350.00

The Beta LT Jacket is an all-season mountain-specification jacket. It’s a lightweight waterproof with a wind proof and durable shell jacket so you can wear whatever you want underneath. This is not a cheap pretender; this is the top dog that will give you proper protection against the wind and the rain. As tough as it is, though, it’s easy to drag around with you: as well as being lightweight, it can be easily stuffed into a backpack to go with you on any adventure.

The staycation has boomed here in the UK with the pandemic making it difficult to leave the country. I still wanted a summer break, so like so many others, I took out the faithful campervan and explored parts of the UK.

One of the highlights of my trip was walking part of Hadrian's Wall, the long-distance footpath in the north of England which runs 84 miles from Wallsend on the east coast of England to Bowness-on-Solway on the west coast. I clocked up just over 50 miles of varying paths and varying weather. We have had a summer of beautiful sunshine to torrential downpours, so I wanted to take a jacket to give me protection against all conditions: hence, I took the Arceryx Beta LT.

The jacket’s GORE-TEX material is waterproof, windproof and yet breathable, keeping you comfortable whilst it protects you. The jacket is a great cut and has large useable front pockets with WaterTight™ zips. On the hotter days I found the pit-zips gave considerable ventilation. I also found the StormHood™ worked very well; I could wear the hood so it moved with my head and it was even helmet compatible.  The Velcro cuffs are perfect to get the fit, too - just right over whatever you are wearing underneath.

Please don’t mistake this for any old raincoat: it is not, this is the ultimate jacket that will protect you against the wind and the rain whilst fitting well and being comfortable.  It is designed and made with care and skill, using the best fabrics and fasteners for the job.
