The Airport Roller Derby (excellent name there, Think Tank), is a camera bag that has been created with improved weight distribution, making it easy to manoeuvre with very little effort from you, weighing in at 9.5–11.5 lbs (4.3–5.2 kg) depending on accessories used.

The internal dimensions are 12.6” W x 18.5” H x 5.5–7.5” D (32 × 47 × 14–19 cm) with exterior dimensions of 14” W x 22” H x 9.0” D (35.6 × 55.9 × 22.9 cm) - this means you can fit two standard DSLRs with lenses attached, a gripped DSLR and a standard DSLR both with lenses attached, 6–7 standard zoom lenses or strobes and 400mm f/2.8 unattached (without laptop in the bag). For example, you can get a Canon 5DMIII with 70-200mm f/2.8 mounted, 1DX with 24-70mm f/2.8 mounted, 16-35mm f/2.8, 90mm TS-E, 2x Extender and 580EX. You may lose a little space when you take advantage of the 15” laptop sleeve and 10” tablet sleeve, but it is still a generous gear profile.

The outer body has a durable water-repellent (DWR) coating for protection against the elements: it is made from a tough 1680D ballistic nylon and there are strong YKK RC Fuse (abrasion-resistant) zippers. The four custom-designed, replaceable wheels have sealed steel bearings, which makes for a wonderfully smooth ride around the terminal and offers multiple rolling positions. It also meets most International and US carry-on requirements.

On the inside of the bag there is 210D silver-toned nylon lining, a polyurethane-backed Velex liner and dividers, a twice polyurethane coated nylon 210T seam-sealed rain cover for when the weather gets really nasty, closed cell foam and PE board reinforced dividers and Belly-O mesh pockets to help you quickly locate your accessories. For security, there is a lock and cable included to allow you to securely tether the bag on location, and the zips to both the main compartment and the laptop compartment are also lockable. There is a tripod mount and water bottle pocket on one side, a bottom handle for overhead lifting, a top zippered pocket for easy access for your wallet or phone, interior zippered pockets for batteries, CF cards and other small accessories. The retractable handle has two locking position that extends to 39–42” and there are three ways to roll this bag: upright at your side, back wheel tilt, or side wheel, tilt although it is harder to push the bag backwards in the last two positions. This functional bag takes the pressure off your body when travelling with large amounts of heavy camera gear, with a versatile interior and plenty of pockets to organise all your gear. RRP £399
