Peak Design Everyday Messenger Bag 15”

Peak Design was founded in 2010 after Peter Dering from Minnesota realised what a hassle it is to travel with a DSLR, and through support from a team of adventurers, urban commuters, designers and of course photographers (and a massive Kickstarter campaign), the company was born. We will be looking at Peak Design’s Everyday Messenger Bag, which is packed full of useful features to make travelling with a camera an easier experience

Think Tank Signature 13 Shoulder Bag

Think Tank have taken one of their practical camera bags, redesigned it and created something functional AND beautiful, available in either ‘Dusty Green’ or ‘Slate Blue’. The most noticeable thing about the Signature series is that the bags are real beauties. It is difficult to keep your hands off this the Signature 13 Shoulder Bag, as the 240D wool-like, 195G nylon/poly blend is so soft and tactile.

Think Tank Airport TakeOff V2.0

The Airport TakeOff V2.0 aims to be a suitcase that has everything at once - no matter where or how you are travelling, you can roll it, carry it by the handles or pop out the concealed shoulder straps and wear it as a back pack. It is designed and sized to meet the needs of a traveling professional, and is compliant with most domestic and international airline carry-on requirements.

Peak Design the Everyday 20

The Everyday 20 Backpack is a 20L backpack designed for photographers and creative types on the move. Starting on the outside, the patented MagLatch has been designed to provide “lighting fast top access”. For me, I am not a fan of this catch at all. I wanted to like it because it looks great, but it is unnecessarily fiddly, especially when the bag is lightly packed. Not to worry - thankfully Peak Design have popped on two side-loading pockets with weatherproof side zips for quick access to your gear.

Kelly Moore Pilot Backpack

When Kelly Moore from Louisiana, USA couldn’t find a camera bag that was equal parts beauty and practicality, she did what any frustrated consumer would do and decided to create her own. Thus, the Kelly Moore Bag collection was born. The Pilot Backpack is named in honour of Kelly’s husband, so don’t be fooled into thinking it is some specially designed airline bag. That’s not to say you can’t take it on a plane, but you might prefer something with more padding or a hard shell.

ThinkTank Airport Roller Derby

The Roller Derby is part of ThinkTank’s Airport series. It has been designed to be as smooth and easy to manoeuvre as possible, for minimal muscle fatigue even when fully loaded. This spacious case has a large gear profile (12.6” W x 18.5” H x 5.5–7.5”). For example, it can hold a Canon 5DMIII with 70-200mm f/2.8 mounted, 1DX with 24-70mm f/2.8 mounted, 16-35mm f/2.8, 90mm TS-E, 2x Extender, 580EX or a Nikon D700 mounted to 70-200mm f/2.8, D810 mounted to24-70mm f/2.8, 14-24mm f/2.8, 105mm f/2.8 macro, 50mm f/1.4, SB900.

Think Tank Turnstyle 10 V2.0

This compact little shoulder bag is available in two colours - either charcoal or a very attractive indigo blue (which we received). Don’t let the small size of the Turnstyle 10 V2.0 deceive you - it can easily hold a standard DSLR or larger mirrorless system (Sony A7, Panasonic GH4), an 8” tablet, 24-70mm f/2.8 or f/4 attached and additional lenses. The internal dimensions are 7.1” W x 12.6” H x 4.8” D (18 x 32 x 12.2 cm) with exterior dimensions of 8.3” W x 15.4” H x 5.2” D (21 x 39 x 13.2 cm).

Think Tank Streetwalker Rolling Backpack V2.0

The Streetwalker Rolling Backpack V2.0 is a hybrid rolling case that can switch into a backpack as and when you need it to. I think the name could do with a little rethinking, as saying you were travelling with a streetwalker will get you a few funny looks in the UK. Awkward name aside, this case has a lot going for it.
