Buffalo DriveStation Media

Over the last 12 months we have had the pleasure of reviewing two of Buffalo’s devices the MiniStation Air 2 and their DriveStation Quad and this month we have taken a look at their new HDV-SA series DriveStation Media Hard Drive.  You can buy the HDV-SA series in three sizes 1TB, 2TB and 3TB so it all depends on how extensive you want to make your media library while allowing you to clear up space on your TV’s, Recorders and PCs.

BrydgeAir Keyboard

We had the pleasure of testing the BrydgeAir Keyboard with the iPad Air 2, ideal if you type a lot on your iPad and want to transform it into a mini netbook. The Keyboard is not going to win any awards for being light it is beautiful designed from aluminium and weighs 520g / 1.15lb but this isn’t a cheap piece of tat it is a high quality tactile keyboard, user tip if you are using it as a laptop do not put it on bare legs as it is super cold.

Think Tank Photo Retrospective 7 Camera Bag

Think Tank Photo was born in 2005 and have been producing professional style camera bags ever since - designed by photographers who know what you need when out in the field (literally and figuratively speaking). The Retrospective 7 is a good looking bag, in pinewood (that’s khaki between you and me) coloured sand-washed 100% cotton canvas, it has been treated with a water-repellent coating that makes any drizzle you may encounter bead off without soaking into the bag.

Datacolor Spyder5Elite

Have you ever been editing a photograph you have been particularly proud of, thoughts of where you will put a National Geographic award and who to thank in your acceptance speech floating around your head only to have your dreams dashed when you print out an image that looks nothing like it did on the screen, colours harsher, image darker whatever the issue it’s a frustrating problem that can easily be avoided with a tool like the Spyder5Elite. Even when using the same brand of monitors, they do not automatically produce the same colour display, so you can

Skulpt Aim

BMI (body mass index) calculators don’t always give you an accurate reading as muscle weighs more than fat it could easily put weight lifters in the obese category. The Skulpt Aim has been designed to get you an accurate reading of muscle quality (MQ) and fat percentage.

Skandika Bogong Backpack

For those not familiar with Australian mountains, Bogong is Victoria’s highest mountain, Bogong is an aboriginal word for Big-fella making it an appropriate title for Skandika’s 65lt +10 trekking all-rounder backpack. My favourite thing by far with this backpack is that you can access the entire main pocket from the front as well as the top, so you don’t have to think about keeping essentials at the top of the bag or diving in head first to try and get your spare pair of socks that you just know are at the very bottom of the bag.

Revell Steady Quad Cam

This mini quad is ultra-cute at 110mm x 95mm x 35mm it is small enough to zip about the house and as these little quads go this one is nicely put together. All too often these little machines are cheaply made with nasty flimsy plastic but this quad feels stronger than your average quad. I love it’s look with a nice blue under carriage and front propellers and some cheeky racing stripes on top, it’s the kind of quality I have come to expect from Revell.
