When you see a beautiful photograph, it is easy to assume the photographer is standing there admiring the scene. You forget they have probably been out potentially for hours with a heavy camera, just waiting for that perfect image to appear before them.
As a photographer out in the field, that perfect image could arise at any second, so quick access is a must for any good camera bag. The Everyday Backpack has been designed with accessibility in mind, along with options for expandability and ease of organisation.
The XT16 is a shoe-mounted, wireless, power-control flash trigger transmitter that provides remote triggering and up to eight stops of wireless power control for flashes equipped with the XTR16 receiver.
There are people who say they are ‘into photography’ because they regularly take selfies and are a dab hand at swiping their favourite filters in place, and then there are those who understand the principles of the F stop scale and have more than one lens. This is something for the latter style of photographers.
The SIRUI W2004 Tripod is a waterproof convertible all-rounder with its own rubber boots, suitable for unpredictable outdoors weather, water and the wilderness. It is a heavy and strong tripod - dust and water won’t mess up the mechanisms by sneaking their way into the sealed leg locks.
The VA 5 Video Head from Sirui can handle a maximum load weight of 3kg, with a counter-balance of 1kg and featuring a fluid-damped video tilt head design for DSLR, system cameras and small camcorders tripod with 3/8 inch connector thread. This allows for smooth, quiet and vibration free camera control whilst filming.
Mindshift claim there is no such thing as bad weather, which is why they created the Exposure 15, a storm-resistant shoulder bag designed for the active photographer, made from waterproof sailcloth panels, with storm flaps, water-repellent DWR fabric, polyurethane coating underneath, AquaGuard zips and a tough Tarpaulin bottom, to ensure your gear is well protected from whatever the elements might throw at you. Available in Black or Solar Grey designs, it has exterior dimensions of 17.3” W x 12.2” H x 7.1” D and interior dimensions of 15.7” W x 10.4” H x 5
The BackLight from Mindshift comes in three sizes 18L, 26L and 36L but we will be focusing on the 18L in this review as this is the one that we received. The 18L has a gear profile of two standard DSLR bodies with lenses attached and 1–3 standard zoom lenses or two Mirrorless bodies with lenses attached and 3–5 lenses as well as up to a 13” laptop and a 10” tablet and space for your personal gear in the 5L front compartments, it takes up to a maximum lens size of 300mm f/2.8 or 150–600mm f/5–6.3 attached to a body.
Forget selfies, pictures of your cats and breakfast, this is a serious accessory for serious photographers. The ROTABALL-DPH from SUN-SNIPER is a double harness with ROTABALL connections featuring two free spinning steel ball-bearing ROTABALL connector, two back and neck friendly SHOCK-ABSORBER and two connectors blocking BLOKKER to prevent any accidental unscrewing.
