I remember when I first started running about 14 years ago I used to do it in cargo shorts, I thought the baggier the better, cover up all those lumps and bumps (I also remember running in hiking boots once, how I didn’t bust a shin I do not know). Looking back I realise how difficult I was making things, not to mention the friction burn between my thighs, ouch. I never really understood why people used skin-tight clothing whilst working out, surely it was more restrictive, then my Mum got me some capri tights and the penny dropped.

There seems to be a bit of an issue with the men I work out with and the idea of exercise leggings, I guess as there is a lack of leggings for men in everyday high street fashion they are worried that putting a pair on will result in the Dude Police rocking up and revoking their male membership. It was only after pointing out that the buffest and most muscly PT in the gym wore leggings that I managed to persuade one of them into giving it a go and, albeit wearing shorts over the top, he realised how much better it was

There’s a lot to be said for working out at home; it’s cheaper than signing up to a gym, you can make all the weird noises/faces you need too, and you probably know who has been in the shower before you. However, not all of us have the space for a full gym rack and weight set in our homes, so we are going to let you into a little secret: you don’t need a load of gear to work out. New out from Proviz for the 2018/2019 season is the Reflect360 performance cycling gilet. It is available in Men’s and Women’s versions in sizes XS-XXXL and 6-16 respectively and has been created to fit comfortably over the top of standard cycling gear for road cycling. The Reflect360, as you may have guessed from the name, has 360˚ reflectivity to help you be seen in the dark or when the light quality is reduced. The Gilet features Proviz’s retro-reflective material across the entire front, and across the shoulders and the lower back.

With a name like PIQ Robot, you might think of a large robotic caddy following you around the green telling you what to do and holding your drinks, but although this would be awesome, it wouldn’t be convenient to pack away in the boot of your car. Thankfully, this robot is teeny tiny and sits on your glove (sadly, it won’t hold your drinks).
