The Edifier M1380 is a 2.1 speaker system that features two full-range satellites, in other words, a subwoofer with two wire attached speakers which are calibrated to match the subwoofer to form a balanced sound. Straight out of the box the Subwoofer looks good, with a glossy clean finish and nicely compact at 280mm X 164mm X 220. The two satellite speakers are equally compact (151mm X 125mm X 120mm) the whole setup doesn’t take up too much room.
The Edifier R1800 BT Speakers are bookshelf speakers that can be connected by either a dual RCA input or through Bluetooth. It has a Class D amplifier and 10-degree angled fronts that help to direct the sound straight to your ears. So, the first impressions is a little mixed, I love the high gloss black body, it is very attractive and looks great on the book shelf, however the front of the speaker lacks any distinction. I think more could have been done here to finish the quality aesthetic off.
